As you will see, I am pulling practically all of this from Rachel of New Rochelle fame, because she really seems to have her stuff together!
Aging
Just as in New Rochelle, one Sim day is equivalent to a week. I’m following New Rochelle Rachel’s (to distinguish her from me, because my name is Rachel too!) lead and leaving aging on, and just like her, I wanted to make sure to get in enough rounds with each family at each age stage. The table below summarizes the system:
Age Stage | Months/Years | Days |
Baby | Birth-10 months | 40 |
Toddler | 10 months-4 years | 152 |
Child | 4-13 years | 432 |
Teen | 13-18 years | 240 |
Young Adult | 18-40 years | 1056 |
Adult | 40-59 years | 960 |
Elder | 59 + | ~720 |
Rounds
Again, like New Rochelle’s timing, each round will be 48 weeks long and that will be considered a year. I will spend four days with each household, which will seem like a lot of time at first because I only rolled five households to start. As we get more households, however, we’ll be spending less time with each household per round. I will adjust things as we go!
Yay, someone else using my system! Woo!
I think I screwed up on the ages a little on mine… I should really do an updated post about it. And you can refer to me as just Rochelle if that helps 🙂
Rochelle: lol! That’s a good shortening of the name. I’m excited to see how this aging system will work. I’ll look out for a post about it!
Ah, I just viewed your page and adjusted my age table accordingly! Yay for math, LOL. 🙂
